Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you sign up we collect: your phone number (used to send a one-time password and identify your account), name, city, life stage (planning / pregnant / new parent), and — when relevant — your due date or your baby's date of birth. As you use the app we also store the entries you make in the trackers (kick counts, mood, water intake, steps, weight), your messages to the AI guide, and any reviews you submit. We collect basic device and language information so the app works correctly in English, Hindi or Gujarati.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to personalise the home screen for your stage and month, surface the right tests, vaccinations, sanskaras and milestones, power the AI guide, remember your trackers and hospital-bag list, and improve the app. We never sell your personal data and we do not show third-party advertising.

3. The AI Guide (Amma)

Messages you send to the AI guide are processed by a third-party large-language-model provider so that you receive a reply. We only send the text of your message — never your phone number, name, due date, baby DOB, tracker entries or any other profile field. Conversations are retained on our server so you can read them again, and you can clear your history at any time from the chat screen.

4. Data Storage & Security

All personal data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Sensitive health information (trackers, due date, baby DOB) is stored in an access-controlled database. We follow industry security practices and comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

5. Your Rights

You can view, edit, or delete your data at any time from the Profile screen. Use "Delete Account" to permanently remove your profile, tracker history, AI conversations and reviews. Email privacy@neoparent.com if you would like a copy of your data or want to ask any other question.

6. Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers: SMS gateway for OTP delivery, a city autocomplete service that receives only your typed query, our LLM provider for the AI guide (see Section 3), and basic anonymous crash reporting. None of these providers receive personally identifiable health information about you or your baby.

7. Children's Privacy

NeoParent is designed for adults aged 18 or above who are planning, expecting, or raising a child. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be highlighted in-app. Your continued use of NeoParent after a change means you accept the updated policy.
